Trip Advisor announced today that Machu Picchu the famed archeological site near Cuzco, came out first in its assessment of the top landmarks of the world. Based on comments and reviews left by guests of Trip Advisor as well as an algorithm that assessed the quality of the reviews obtained during twelve months, the popular travel site made the determination.
Besides Machu Picchu, “the world landmarks top 10 list includes numerous religious sites, including Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. (#2); the Great Cathedral and Mosque in Cordoba, Spain (#4); St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City (#5) and Bayon Temple at Siem Reap, Cambodia (#7).”
