A few steps from the main square of Cusco in full celebration for the Jubilee month of the city is taking place the 1st international festival of arts “QOSQO T’IKARINAMPAQ”, from June 8 and will end on June 15, 2019.
This festival is located on several streets near the center of the city, such as Plazoleta Regocijo, Plaza Espinar, Marquez Street, San Francisco Square and San Pedro Plazoleta. The organization of this event is in charge of the Provincial Municipality of Cusco.
A lot of artists are using all their skills just to live. You can see different activities such as wood work, stone work, and metal work.
Using different tools such as grinders, cutters, welders, hammers, among other tools, they work to finish their works of art. We can say that there are several positions where artists are working and at the same time many people are observing the hard work to make a work of art.
Sparks from the welds are jumping everywhere, wood shavings and grit from the stone accompany all these artists. As they are main streets where this festival is taking place, the traffic becomes a bit dense but one has at least the chance to look at each one of these stands.
It is so that in the fiestas of Cusco art is found everywhere, all kinds. Take advantage of all the events that the city of Cusco offers.
