Machupicchu and Cusco Lived a Party in The Passage of the Pan American Torch, Lima 2019

After the great victory of the Peruvian National Team against Chile in the semifinal of the Copa America, we moved to the city of Cusco to witness the lighting of the torch of the Pan American and Parapan American Games Lima 2019.

Machupicchu the wonder of Peru was chosen for the lighting of the flame of the Pan-American torch and it is to be expected since this place symbolizes the ancestral culture of the Incas and of all Peru, also it provides a great identity to all Peruvians.

In the same Archaeological Complex of Machu Picchu, after a ceremony the President of Peru received the Pan-American Torch from the hands of an artist who staged a chasqui or messenger in the time of the Incas.

Also present were authorities from the town of Aguas Calientes and the city of Cusco. This torch will have a long journey and will be for several regions of Peru before arriving at its main headquarters where this great event will be held in the city of Lima.

For more details, the Pan-American torch will visit 26 cities in Peru, on a 22-day tour before arriving in Lima. You will visit Lake Titicaca in Puno, the mountain of seven colors in Cusco, the Colca Canyon in Arequipa, the citadel of Chanchan and part of the Amazon region of Loreto and many other places.

In this way all of Peru will participate in this great event where athletes from Peru and from 41 countries will participate in this great event. The Pan American and Parapan American Games Lima 2019.
