Cusco Festivities Schedule 2022

The COVID 19 pandemic paralyzed 100% of cultural events throughout the country and left the living culture that takes place throughout the year in different regions at a standstill. These festivities are very important within the popular culture of the towns. A large percentage of people participate in them, including children, youth, and adults.

Among the most important events that take place throughout the year are the Cusco festivities in June, that include Corpus Christi, Inti Raymi and allegorical parades organized by different local institutions, both public and private, to salute Cusco for its jubilee month.

It was recently announced that Inti Raymi would be carried out normally. The festivities were officially launched with a performance in the United States, in the state of Utah. After a great debate, the authorities in charge manifested themselves and announced the schedule of festivities for the month of June. They include Parades of Dances, Corpus Christi, Inti Raymi and the Night of Lights and Sound.
