The Anime Shokugeki no Souma, Features Causa Limeña, a Traditional Peruvian Dish

Shokugeki no Souma is one of the most recognized animes. iIt highlights culinary battles where they use ingredients and culinary techniques from around the world to be able to pass each of the challenges that are presented in each episode.

In this 4th season of Shokugeki no Souma, the residence called “the polar star” where many of the characters reside is in a culinary battle against the new director of the academy and his subordinates called the 10 elite advisors.

Yukihira Soma, along with the other young geniuses in gastronomy must defeat the 10 counselors and take their places to revoke the new rules and expel the new director. On Friday, November 29, 2019, the eighth chapter came out and gave a great surprise to all anime fans, especially Peruvians.

Causa Peruana

One of the traditional and most representative dishes of Peru was staged. We are talking about the famous Peruvian causa. In the anime, we find Takumi Aldini of the young rebels and Rido Kobayashi one of the 10 counselors. It is here that Kobayashi makes the presentation of the famous filled causa, leaving an imposing impression on the culinary juries.

In this scene they mention some of the ingredients that are part of this recipe. On a plane where the map of Peru is shown they signal the Peruvian yellow hot pepper (ají Amarillo) as an important ingredient, and also the piraracú, the largest freshwater fish in the Amazon that can be found in the Peruvian jungle. This dish manages to win in this culinary encounter.

Outside of anime, the Peruvian causa is really a delicious dish. If you plan to visit Peru you have to try it.

The anime Shokugeki no Souma: Shin no Sara presented chapter 08 leaving all fans surprised and waiting for the next chapter.
