Peruvian Currency is The Most Beautiful in The World
In recent years the Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCR) has minted several collections of new coins of a new sol, the Peruvian currency, with very attractive themes, for example, the numismatic series “Threatened Wild Fauna of Peru”, “Wealth and Pride of Peru ”,“ Natural Resources of Peru”.
Each of the series has coins that represent the departments of all Peru, such as Machupicchu in Cusco, Lima Cathedral, Chullpas de Sillustani in Puno, El Tumi de Oro in Lambayeque, The Monastery of Santa Catalina in Arequipa, etc.
Thousands of nationals and foreigners collect all these coins for how beautiful and attractive they are and also for the great meaning they have for Peru. However, one of the coins of the numismatic series “Wealth and Pride of Peru”, alluding to the Inca Huayta Temple in Huancavelica, has been chosen as the best currency in the world in the category “Legal Currency”, for having a beautiful Design and fine finish.
The Nexonum prize was awarded to the coin by the Nexo Group of Spain. This coin was issued by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru on March 20, 2013. The quality and beauty of the coin was praised by Dr. Pedro de la Puente, president of the Numismatic Society of Peru.
The Nexonum awards have 11 categories among which Peru stands out as the best legal tender, Best gold coin (United States), Best silver coin (Austria), Best silver coin (Austria), etc.
