Our enigmatic wonder has been considered one of the most beautiful places in the world by the British magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
A few days ago, the Export and Tourism Promotion Commission (PromPerú) reported that our world wonder, Machu Picchu, located in the department of Cusco, has been included in the list of 51 most beautiful places in the world.
On the other hand, this prestigious British magazine published an article in its inspiration category, titled as a “Machu Picchu Leading the way with sustainability“,where it states that:
“The Peruvian government, which manages the site, has been responsible for progressively reducing emissions from the site, first to a reduction of 45% by 2030 and then 100% by 2050”
Likewise, the British journalist CHRIS MOSS also mentioned that:
“The Incas were ahead of their time. They built roads over impassable Andean mountains, built commercial empires while others waged war and turned agriculture into a science. It is appropriate, then, that the largest archaeological monument in Peru aims to become the first wonder of the world with carbon neutral emissions “
