Cusco will be the scene of the Inés of My Soul miniseries
Once again the beautiful city of Cusco was chosen as the setting to record a miniseries, this time produced by Boomerang and the Chilevisión chain. We are talking about “Inés del alma mía”, (Inés of My Soul). This novel, written by Isabel Allende and translated into 30 languages, will now be on television and aims to delight all its readers.
The recording of the miniseries began in Spain, continued in Peru, and finally in Chile. As we indicated before, Cusco is the scenario chosen for several shots of this series. Specifically, filming is in the Sacred Valley of the Incas in important places in the history of the Inca and colonial times: these are Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, and finally Pisaq.
Meanwhile, in Chile the recording will take place in Atacama. This audiovisual work will tell the story of Inés Suarez, a seamstress from the 16th century who was part of the expedition to Chile with the conqueror Pedro de Valdivia with the aim of achieving the historical foundation of Santiago de Chile.
After this news was published in the newspaper El País, thousands of people have kept an eye on the recording and of course are waiting for the premiere of the miniseries “Inés del alma mía”.
On the other hand, we Cusqueños are happy that this type of activities is carried out in our city, since it will help tourist growth and more people will appreciate the beautiful places that exist in this land bequeathed yo us by our Inca ancestors.
