Cusco: Top 5 Energy Places to Visit in 2022

Mother nature has different energy centers, which are considered as sources of power. They are charged with energy and human being go there to recharge themselves with this energy, thus improving mind and spirit.

Some elders of the city tell us that when Andean priests lost energy or the power to perform their ceremonies, they traveled to different places where they were charged again with energies to continue their work of making ceremonies. These places were lakes that were near the tops of the snowy mountains, the Intihuatana or solar clock, the caves. These all were considered like the belly of the Mother Earth.

The city of Cusco has a number of energy centers, within which you we find the top five places to visit and recharge energy this 2019.

5 – TIPON, THE WATER TEMPLE

Tipón was a temple built in Inca times to worship and venerate water, which represents purity and energy as well as being the main source of life.

Tipón was a hydraulic center formed by 12 large terraces, with channels that served as irrigation. It is well known that the Incas reached great heights in its architecture and especially in its hydraulic constructions. and it is here where the admirable form can be appreciated of water conduction and distribution.

4 – AUSANGATE

Ausangate is one of the most important sacred mountains of the city of Cusco. On it are several lakes, a total of seven. They are very beautiful and have colors that go from green, turquoise, to black.
The lakes. or as they called, the Qochas, were considered sacred in the Inca times as they were an inexhaustible source of life and place where one could load energy when bathing in them.

3 – THE TEMPLE OF THE MOON

The temple of the Moon is located inside the archaeological park of Saqsayhuaman. It was a sacred place in Inca times dedicated to the cult of the Mama killa or Mother Moon. This is a stone cave, which It has an altar. At the entrance you can see carved in the same stone a very thin snake with its head facing inwards but you can also see another very large and thick snake with its head facing outward. This probably represents that when it entered this temple it did so without energy, but when leaving it made the path charged with energy. Also in the same cave you can see a puma and a condor carved in the stone, the three sacred animals of the Andean world.

Nowadays many people use the Temple of the Moon as a place to meditate and connect with the cosmos.

According to some scholars of this place, it was probably an agricultural research center of the Inca period. It presents a system of terraces in a concentric way as rings and it was a place where crops experiments were carried out at different altitudes. It was also a place of concentration of feminine energy, for which it is considered as the magnetic center of the Pachamama.

Machupicchu considered worldwide as one of the seven wonders of the world, is one of the best examples of high engineering and architecture. The place where it was built was chosen strategically, although in the Inca times they had a polytheistic religion, where they believed in several deities, especially nature, such as air, Pachamama, sun, moon, water, mountains etc. and all of them were sacred to them. Machupicchu is built surrounded by all these deities and they are all harmoniously connected.

In Machu Picchu there are several places where you can feel the energy, such is the case of the Intihuatana or the solar clock, which is a magnetic center.
