Chinatown, An Attraction You Should See while in Lima

A Carving of a Dragon Head in a Post, Chinatown in Lima, Peru
Chinatown, el Barrio Chino, is one of the very popular places in Lima. It is known because of its Chinese attractions, such as the many restaurant and food offerings and the ambience. It takes you to a different world. Located on Capon street, and about eight blocks long, it is decorated with decorations and Chinese details everywhere.
A few days ago I was able to visit this famous neighborhood. It was at night. I went with my cousins and we tried some of the amazing food on offer there. I had Min Pao, a Chinese appetizer made from a ball of dough with sweet or salty fillings, depending on your choice. We had a salty filling made from a combination of pork and chicken that, for me,m was a delight.
That is how I first came to know this small part of overseas China. I plan to go back one of these days to witness one of its great celebrations.

The are is of much interest to tourists and to locals in order for all to experience Chinese New Year which will be celebrated loudly and with lots of energy this February 8.
