The Provincial Municipality of Cusco and EMUFEC will develop the handicraft fair “Manos Andinas” from Thursday, September 2 to Sunday, September 5, this fair will feature a great variety of works made by Andean artisans, the place where all the products and works will be offered. of art, will be in the most important space, the Plaza de Armas of Cusco.
There the teachers and producers will attend you, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at night, you can buy and appreciate all the talent and creativity of the masters of Andean crafts, there you can find pottery and ceramics. , hides and skins, vegetable fibers, musical instruments, jewelry, masks, costume jewelery, textiles, metalwork, pictures and paintings.
Craftsmanship is understood as the economic and cultural activity destined to the elaboration and production of goods either made by hand or with the help of manual tools, and even mechanical means, always with the added value with direct labor. If produced in an industrial way, these goods lose their handicraft status.
All artisan works are used with raw materials, originating in the area of origin and are identified with a place of production. In this knowledge, the richness of popular art in Peru is the synthesis of the idiosyncrasy and experience of each town, each community or region. Each one has a craft that is their own and distinctive, where the artisans embody their particular vision of life in their works.
