Q’eswachaca: The last Inca bridge in photos

Days ago, the Inca hanging bridge, handcrafted and made from straw (ichu), was rebuilt along the Apurimac River.

The Q’iswachaca straw bridge is rebuilt every year by two communities, Qehue and Huinchiri. It is located south of Cusco in the province of Canas, lands of Tupac Amaru.

It was the first time I went to Q’eswachaca and I was really surprised to see how they rebuild this bridge. I describe it with one word, impressive.

I share here the images with which I documented the process.
