Spring is making itself felt in Cusco. This is many people’s favorite time of the year. The rains will pick up and the city will look clean and fresh. The grass, flowers, and plants will gleam and fill everyone with joy through their bright colors.
Since everything turns green thanks to the rains, people will take time to go out into the mountains and fields just to see the scenery. People will take pleasure from these spring days in connection with nature.
Rainbows, with their radiant and beautiful colors, will appear suddenly throughout our valley. Whenever we get both rain and sunshine at the same time we sill see beautiful rainbows. Bars of different colors and in different sizes will glow in our sky.
Farmers anxiously await the coming of spring. The seeds will sprout and plants grow. The rains fall regularly and will water our fields so that everything grows rapidly this time of year.
Some years ago, when I was still a boy, my friends and I would play lots and really enjoy the days of spring. Since there were not so many buildings, the land was filled with trees and plants. It seemed like a small jungle. All the kids from my neighborhood would go play among the vegetation. We used to do many games. One of them was hide and seek which was fun and challenging and the plants grew.
Now that the rains begin to increase in frequency people will also repair the roofs of their homes. People who have tile roofs will change the old tiles for new ones to keep water from spilling inside.
The magic of spring has struck Cusco. People will enjoy these enchanting days, feeling the rain on their faces and seeing the beautiful and every changing scenery of spring.
