Peruvian miniseries “Sabiduria Madre” will premiere on TV Peru

“Wisdom Mother” is a miniseries that will premiere this Saturday, August 14 at 4:00 PM, on the screens of TV Peru. This Peruvian production consists of 3 chapters, of 20 minutes each and they are set in the Capital, in the Altiplano, and in the Amazon.

This documentary miniseries tells the story of 3 women Lucy, Aurora and Magaly, these women lead change and manage the dynamics of their families and communities always with creativity and turning around adverse situations.

All this production is under the direction of Sonaly Tuesta, a communication science graduate, director of documentaries, writer and host of the program Customs that is broadcast on TVPerú.

In the first episode, it narrates the life of Lucy Pacompia Cari, a peasant woman from Amantani Island, in the Puno region, who put aside her fears, decided to resume her studies and managed to finish high school at the age of 32. now with a more independent vision, she defends her ideals even before her mother that she has a more conformist look at reality.

The following episodes will be broadcast on Saturday 21 and Saturday 28 August, always at the same time, and will revolve around Aurora Ayala Escalante and Magaly Estrella Vasquez, who will show their struggle and firmness to transform lives and protect forests and their culture.

“Wisdom Mother” proposes a change in attitude towards Peruvian women, make visible their wisdom and their gift of teaching, their leadership and entrepreneurship skills so that they are considered in projects of institutions, organizations and companies, the intention is to break the cycle of inequality and closing gender gaps.

In a complementary way, on Tuesday August 24, at 7 PM, there will be a virtual conversation “Mother Wisdom: bicentennial woman making a homeland” that will deal with the role of women in the bicentennial year and the pending challenges that as society we assume in the fight for equal opportunities. The event will be moderated by the journalist Sonaly Tuesta and will have the participation of the executive director of the Bicentennial Project, Laura Martines.
