The Lord of Temblors’ Stroll through Cuzco

Yesterday, the great Lord of Temblors made his annual visit to the City of Cuzco and crowds massed to receive his blessing despite the threat of rain.  Along the way people not only competed for the honor to carry him on his rounds, but also to give him red flowers called ñuqch’u, play music for him, greet him, and take home the flowers that would fall from him.    Cuzco Eats presents a set of photos from yesterday’s procession taken by Walter Coraza Morveli and Hebert Edgardo Huamani Jara.
