Fiestas of Cusco – Jubilee Month

Yesterday, Tuesday, June 1, an ancestral ceremony with an offering to the Pachamama was held in the Plaza de Armas of our imperial city, in this ceremony the prompt exit of covid-19 and the health crisis that it brings to the population was requested.

In this jubilee month, the festivities of our entire beloved region of Cusco are celebrated and it is a pleasure for all Cusco residents to transmit the traditions and customs that make us proud and make us feel part of the entire ancestral legacy. The party and the energy that is experienced in each celebration is shared with national and foreign visitors who come to our city to experience this great celebration.

For the second year in a row, these jubilee parties will be held in a different way due to the coronavirus pandemic. For this, the Municipal Company of Celebrations of Cusco (EMUFEC) presented the official program of the festivities, which includes virtual and blended activities.

The President of the EMUFEC, Fernando Santoyo, pronounced himself predicting that, in 2022, it will be possible to return normally, in order to meet again and celebrate with normality all the festivities that take place in this jubilee month.
