Stories and Experiences Lie behind every Photograph

Throughout my passion for photography, among travels and experiences during three years, I have studied different types of photography such as landscape, street, portraits, people, and documentary. The most important thing I have learned is that behind every photograph there is a story. The picture is more than an image and carries with it an entire adventure and experience worth telling.

At the moment I am fascinated with street photography, with the task of capturing the feelings and emotions of people in their environment, whether they are working or performing some other activity. I like even more to take landscapes. I love to leave the city and be in nature surrounded by the mountains, especially in the region of Cusco. Its natural scenery is very photogenic.

I do not follow a strict schedule because I love to just go with the flow and let everything happen as it will, to let nature give me an experience. My friends and I often share this same passion. We go out on photographic escapes, often without planning it. We go on walks and hikes. Sometimes we even leave our region. Not long ago we went to a snow-clad peak called Qoyllority that is at a remove of some five hours from the city. It was a stupendous outing that we all remember with much joy. We took some good pictures and had a wonderful time.

To await the dawn, see how the light changes from the blue hour to the golden hour, documenting each moment that passes are things that have no price. When you carry that passion in you heart and then see your results and share them with your friends, telling them the experiences you had in order to get the pictures, you feel wonder as each photo takes you back to that moment.

Here, I share with you an essay of those experiences and images that I have taken and worked on throughout the year. Below you can enjoy the landscape of Cusco and imagine the stories and experiences that might lie behind each and every one of them.
