Every September 23, throughout Peru at national level, the first day of spring it is celebrated. It is the beginning of a new season that brings the flowering of much love peace and harmony. On this day we also celebrate the day of youth.
During the spring our days lengthen, the sun rises a little earlier and sets later, so the night becomes shorter. The word spring is synonymous with life, youth, sun, air, and color. Likewise, it identifies with the time when things are in their greatest vigor, beauty, and freshness.
The city of Cuzco will celebrate with a program that includes children’s shows, gastronomic fairs, games, competitions, music, and exhibitions of plants and animals aimed at the general public.
In different educational centers, at the initial, primary, and secondary level, on the occasion of the change of season they take the day to visit our archeological parks, zoos, and to leave the city and enjoy to the maximum.
For this day and the rest of the weekend in the different plazas around the city of Cuzco festivals and shows will be held where we are all invited to commemorate this special day.
