The organization The World ‘s 50 Best, specialized in recognizing the best of world gastronomy, chose the Peruvian chef Pía León, as the Best Female Chef in the World in this 2021.
This distinction recognizes the career and positive impact of a female chef in the global context. 34-year-old Pía León is widely supported by her role as hers in the renowned Central restaurant, which has been ranked number 1 of the 50 best restaurants in Latin America for 3 consecutive years.
Pía León, owner of the “Kjolle” Restaurant since August 2018, has been essential in the creation of the restaurants that today are synonymous with the culinary reputation of Peru. Pia and her team in her restaurant propose a diverse experience in natural ingredients of the country and its entire culture.
Now the World’s Best Female Chef 2021, she will officially receive her recognition award in Antwerp, Flanders, during the October 5 ceremony.
Pía was previously honored with this distinction in 2018, and she joined a select group of women who have been recognized for her talent in world-class culinary arts. That year, the chef took her rightful place, in the spotlight, with the opening of her own restaurant, Kjolle, also in Lima.
