Last Night’s Full Moon in Cuzco

Yesterday’s full moon-rise was really special. The moon appeared above Ausangate and illuminated the whole City of the Incas with its wonderful bright light.

I was waiting for it in a strategic point called Tetecaca (a huaca). I found it an awesome place from which to take good pictures

People were looking forward to see the Mama Killa, the moon, despite being very cold that night. When it appeared it brightened the sky.

The moon impacted people throughout the city. From the plaza to its streets people were watching the moon amazed at its beauty and the unusual corona it made.

For some people this was more than simply a rise of a celestial orb. A group of people awaited it the temple of the moon to appreciate its beauty while doing wachuma ceremonies in order to connect with it.

Here I share some pics of yesterday full moon.
