McDonalds receved the Golden Inka from the Inka Dorado Award for the Best Attention, Production, and Sale of Fast Food. This award was given by the Chamber of Commerce and Development in Peru (Cámara de Comercio y Desarrollo del Peru).
The Chamber sees the purpose of these awards to promote the unity of the country by bringing people together around a single goal, that of development. The recognize a year long commitment by businesses and individuals to production, as well as attention and service to clients.
The Organizing Commission looks at statistics of the various business and then organizes anonymous site visits. Formed by ODIPED, the Organization of Producers for Development in Latin America and the Caribbean, the Commission consists of people who are dedicated to development, especially that which involves trademarks.
