Cusco celebrates World Tourism Day

Today the city of Cusco is celebrating the world day of tourism, as every September 27th, with various artistic and cultural activities commemorating this important day put on by the regional tourism directorate and the municipality of Cusco.

Today there will be a tourist celebration with a parade accompanied by bands of music and dances. The activities were inaugurated on September 25, with the lifting of the National Pavilion in the Plaza de Armas. The celebration will extend throughout the week.

The Archaeological Capital is the leading tourist destination in the Americas, so today is a day of celebration and special treat for the national and foreign tourists. Beginning early in the morning at the Velasco Astete airport and the a BusTerminal, tourists give them a welcome with allegorical groups, dances and music.

Apart from all this celebration for the international day of tourism in the navel of the world offer different alternatives and tourist routes to visit during this week.
