Cusco is synonymous with stone. You see this in the temples and palaces in Inca Cusco that still exist. The temples and palaces of Inca Cusco is the amazing center of a culture that knew both how to dominate nature and how to be in harmony with it.

Today you can see remains from Inca times that still stand in glory. After the Spanish conquest and following disasters, though damaged, many examples remained. They are maintained even if underneath colonial architecture.
