Choquequirao: A Great Adventure of Four Days and Three Nights in Photos
The cradle of wealth or the cradle of gold. This is how the people of Cachora translate its name from Quechua. It is an archeological treasure and one of the best options if you like trekking.
Even though these descriptions of the translation do not come close to the great beauty of this great archeology. It has amazing scenery along the whole route that take you to Choquequirao.
The Incas constructed this temple in a perfect site breaking all barriers. It is above one of the deepest canyons with a strong connection with nature that surrounds it. There are high mountains of beauty all around that steal your heart. It illustrates a life in harmony with the Apus, the mountains and nature.
It scenery is simply magic. You will experience phenomenal dawns and sun sets from above the Apurimac Canyon. And, at night, you will make a connection with the amazing Milky Way which is a clear as it could be. This is an experience you should not miss.
This was my experience when I visited Choquequirao and made a photo essay that I made during four days and three nights. It was an incredible adventure.
