Joy, devotion, dancers, and rich gastronomy: This is how the festival of Corpus Christi in Cusco is lived

With much joyous sound, Corpus Christi Catholic began in the imperial city of Cusco on Wednesday. The 15 saints and virgins made their procession with dance troupes, bands and companions on the way to the cathedral,

Thursday the 31st was the central day of this great celebration. The entire city stopped for this event. Thousands of locals and foreign tourists came to Cusco to witness the festivities held this and next week.

A great fiesta, there is great joy in all the streets, as well as dance music and the delicious cuisine of Cusco.

One of the signature dishes of these festivities is the delicious chiriuchu. In the Plaza Tupac Amaru a gastronomic festival was held where the people of Cusco with their beautiful dresses full of color serve as a token of Cusco cuisine.
