Last Friday, a Gastronomic Festival was carried out in the Plaza of San Blas by the private Khipu institute. There you found both Cuzco’s good traditional recipes as well as culinary innovation. More than fifty wonderful dishes were available to ignite the taste buds of attendees.
On a morning filled with activities we found ourselves in the middle of a contest among the different students of Khipu who had dedicated much attention to details of their culinary art in presenting the best dishes.
The student’s inspiration made Andean cooking flower with new flavors, fusions, and with creative presentations. Recognized chefs were the judges who rated and judged the various presentations.
It was a day of Andean flavor, partying with live music, food tastings, and competitions among the students. The public learned about and enjoyed the abundance of Andean cuisine.
In what follows we share with you a photo essay for you to enjoy the festival as we did.
